The guy had major cash and about 11 cars already and Opted for a 2012 Z06 and sold me this car at a steal with free and clear title. The sticker was 41+K with the SS/RS package and he put the Megnacharger Supercharger (another 7+K) upgrade on her also. Drove about 4.5 hours down to Southern VA to pick her up 3 weeks ago. I feel like I won the lottery considering the 28K price he sold it to me for. I've already started doing some modding already...

Yes, I couldn't touch an SS model on ebay motors from stealerships depending on options for 33-37K and there this private sale sat with NO bidders!!!

The SS is pretty powerful, certainly enough to get into trouble. Just keep them away from the Stabilitrak button

The aftermarket catback systems.....do they eliminate or reduce backpressure? I ask because it seems counterintuitive/counterproductive to install FLOWMASTERS; a low restriction muffler behind cats.

Reduce, actually eliminating all back-pressure would be a bad thing in most all road vehicles. I know the drivetrain engineers at SRT have told us that removing the blockage of the cats on an otherwise stock 6.1 liter is good for about +20hp.
