Sounds good! Gaylord did the exhaust on my 69 a few years ago. Nice guy though when I took my exhaust off for my engine swap I noticed how crooked one of my mufflers were. LOL Didnt catch it when he welded them up.

The aftermarket catback systems.....do they eliminate or reduce backpressure? I ask because it seems counterintuitive/counterproductive to install FLOWMASTERS; a low restriction muffler behind cats.

It's just a start but they are less restrictive than the OEM exhaust. I always do the full cattback first before I do the high flow catt or headers... This in particular was more about sound with some hp gains!!!

Reduce, actually eliminating all back-pressure would be a bad thing in most all road vehicles. I know the drivetrain engineers at SRT have told us that removing the blockage of the cats on an otherwise stock 6.1 liter is good for about +20hp.

Chern, just saw it at Lowes, looks very good.

Thanks... :buddies:

Yeah I saw those, pretty cool, right now I put in a Billet shift knob (it's a replica if the shift knob used on the camaro prototype), Billet E-brake handle with MOMO leather boot, Billet cup holder insert, and Billet racing peddles to bling the inside a little. :dye:

Most likely Yes and Yes... :dye:

Saw you again this morning turning from GM road south on to 5. I'm your new stalker. I'm gonna start beeping and :howdy: every time I see that car now. :killingme

I wanna go for a ride  It's been a long time since I really, really liked a car. I'm an SUV kinda girl, but DAMN, that's a nice looking car.

If you work where I think you work, you work with my sister.

Friend of mine who has a 2010 turned me on to a local club for Camaro owners. I went to their site and had to laugh because it talks to new Camaro owners but if you own one of those older narly Camaro's you could join of you want. Kinda pissed me off as my car is the daddy of what the new car is. Some will argue with me that its all in how I interpret his intro to the club and thats fine. Just don't care for a club that singles out a particular generation. I love the new car but don't write the history off on what started it all.

Post some pics of yours. I'd love to see it.

When I was in HS, a friend had a (I believe) '69 Camaro convertible. I loved that car. We skipped school one day, and I was sitting on the back of the car with the top down as we cruised down great mills road. Passed my grandmother. She honked and waved. It was halarious at the time :killingme

Chernmax's ride is indeed a beautiful car and I looked at the 2010 a couple years ago. Gonna hang on to mine for a bit longer. Of course for what I have put into my car I could have had a 2010 by now! :)

Eh, I think your being too sensitive. It's not like they forbid other Gen owners from joining, or said anything bad about them. I got all the love in the world for first Gen chargers, but what they and my car have in common is four wheels RWD, and a V8 motor. No disrespect to them, but %99 of them want nothing to do with the new cars anyway.

I am being a bit sensitive. I admit it. Guess I am being an all or nothing kinda guy. Love the lines on the new Charger. Kinda wish they had done something different with the front end to make it more retro.

Looking over the albums they have posted, I see shots of some very cool cras, I suspect that, being car nuts, most of them appreciate a cool car no matter the age. I know at meets sponsored by the local Charger guys, older ones are welcomed with open arms.

Not sure how I feel about the new gen charger myself, like the tail, but the front isnt leaving me really happy. But I haven't seen an 2012 SRT-8 yet so I am reserving judgment. Actually like the new 300 SRT a bit better, based on the pics. just wish it was possible to get the Chargers stiffer suspension on the 300. Not that a 48K car is happening anytime soon.

Going outside of my love for Chevy's the new Challenger really screams retro. I love that car.

I went to the Chevy dealer with my GF when I got home in 2009 from overseas. "12" year old salesperson tried his hardest to sell me a V-6 Camaro because it was 300 hp and better gas mileage than the V-8. I drove up in my 69 and he saw it. He just didnt get that I didnt care about mileage. I spent some time in the middleast last year and there were some SRT-8 Jeeps out there that I swore had Nascar engines in them.
