They say it was his liver and pancreas. They still have tests out, but he went down so fast. The vet said he was probably sick for several months but just started showing symptoms Friday. He was due to go in for his yearly physical next week. Very said day and thank you.
In months to come, Ace will send another Kitty your way, that needs the love, and attention that he was lucky to have. Take care, and just know you did good by that boy.

Interesting enough, we had just gotten a new kitty 3 weeks ago today, he and Ace got along so well. I have the 3 here and I can tell they are all wondering where Ace is.

I am sorry about your kitty, Kat. I know it was unexpected, but you would have had no way of knowing. I know from what you post, that Ace had a great life, and you love your pets very much. A year and a half ago, my Cookie started her day happy as ever and by that night she was gone. We didn't know she was sick, either. It is not your fault, and I know how you feel. Take care.

I'm sorry to hear the news of Ace's passing. Hoping happy memories will be a comfort to you.

Thank you, I have so many happy memories of him, such a sweet boy. We had him cremated and he is back home on the mantle. One of my older cats has made her place at the foot of the fireplace and spends most of her time sleeping there, she's never done that before. Each one has a different way of mourning, the older boy sits and watches out the front window constantly. This breaks my heart.

We had Oreo and Cookie cremated. I have never done that before with a pet. They are under our bed in their respective places where they used to sleep at night. I know it is something to get used to, but I am glad we did it, and you will be, too. It creates a closeness that we had in life to the pets that we loved. It breaks your heart because you loved him, and that is the best celebration of his life that there could ever be.

I lost a very special cat 2 years ago today and unfortunately after the thousands of dollars in vet bills, I just didn't have the extra to have him cremated. I know that sounds bad, but I put every extra cent I had into trying to save him. We brought him home and buried him in the back yard in a nice garden spot and put a nice marker out for him.

Every situation is different. Both choices/options are a good decision. You have to deal with the circumstances you are in. The love we had for them in life doesn't change. When it is said and done, they know we loved them, and that is all that really matters.
