My poor pup :(

happy to be living
Well she passed peacfully about an hour ago. She was just so sick. We couldn't get her to eat or drink more than a lap or two..she could barely walk and was just...not her..she was already gone. We stayed with her while she got the tranq..and we let her go peacfully. No more pain for her. we can remember her like she was.

Dr. Feldhous is wonderful. What a kind and honest woman. We all knew we were doing the right thing.

RIP best friend:bawl:

:huggy: I'm so sorry you lost your best friend but it's so hard to watch them suffer. Pets bring so much love into our lives but it's the worst when you have to let them go.

Dr. Feldhaus was there for me for one of my cats. She was the best.

Thank you everyone. i am still having a very hard time. I feel a little silly for being so overwhelmingly devastated..but I know we did the right thing..so I hope I will feel better soon.

:huggy: you did the right thing!!! I know it is hard but you can't keep them alive when they are suffering! Our rescue lab/chessie mix had the same thing 2 years ago and we could have kept him alive by leaving him in the vets office 4 days a week for fluids. We thought that would be a cruel thing to do to him. So we opted to put him down. It broke our hearts but we knew it was the best thing to do. I believe Dr. Feldhaus and Dr. O'Conner as well as several peeps of the office were there for us and him when it was time.
