Just called me and I didn't recognize who it was right off. His voice has noticeably changed.

Can I still refer to him as Boy?

I would stick with boy. You start referring to the "man" eating all of your string cheese and people are going to think it's something dirty.

My old man referred to me as "boy" until they day he passed.....Then he would say "I call you that cause I seen you in the shower".....His corny ass jokes still come up every now and then...

He will be "The Boy" until he can throw you down the well. Bonus points if you get the movie AND the actors.

Yep its the Dad equivalent of a mothers "baby".

Another "Yep."

MY Mom & Dad still call my Brother and I "Boys", as in 'Boys, come in here and explain this car in the living room.'

Now though, they have two G'sons.

And, all four of us call my Brother's sons "the boys."

M&D just have to be specific as to which generation of "boys" they are referring to, or my Brother and I wonder, 'Hmmm....what'd we do now?'

Mom even said that she has been at the hospital at one time or another for all three of her boys.
