We bought my wife an In:eyebrow:inity G35x from Pr. Frederick Ford, now I've bought a few cars in my life and except for owner to buyer I've always gotten a tank of gas. Nope not here. she drove it home and we were talking and I asked that the tank was full, she said 1/4 full.Ford was closed by then. We just a couple of weeks ago paid 1/4 the price of the G35 for a Cirrus for my daughter at Fitzmall in L.P. guess what, the tank was full. Come on Ford.:eyebrow:

Good deal, I bought a brand new 2500 HD Ram from LP Dodge a few years back, tank just above "E" on the test drive, lady went and put gas in it after deal was done, got in and the tank was still on "E", asked what happened to the gas and she said that's all they do, put $10 in it....WTF.......Never bought another vehicle from them just because of that.

You'd be surprised how many dealerships have gone to that route. 'We are only allowed to put $25 in it' :blah:

It makes me wonder if it comes out of the salespersons comission or something. When I bought my truck from Ford back when, full tank. When we picked up a Dodge from Park Dodge a few years back, full tank.

Got rid of the Dodge, went to CarQuest in Waldorf, $25 was the 'max' they are allowed. $25 in a Yukon XL is like me pissing in a 5 gal bucket, yeah, I may wet the insides, but I sure as hell ain't putting a dent in the holding capacity!

Not a big deal, I dont think. What, under $60 bucks? Not worth worrying about. BTW, Dee, had a Cruze for a rental recently, very nice car, was a lot that impressed me about it. Damn good MPG also.

Bought a Rubicon today, they filled the tank. Would have been a deal breaker if they didn't.

I think in today's circumstances with gas prices, etc., that dealerships should fill up the gas tank. They will still make their money, plus have happy return customers. We haven't bought in six years. In 2006, we purchased a 4-runner (03) from Toyota Waldorf, and a Jaguar (04) from Carmax....great prices. Both cars run like charms...no troubles, except routine maintenace. Previously, 10 years ago, bought Landrover Discovery (95) and Mustang (98) from Car Center in Waldorf. We only buy used cars, and would recommend all of the above. We donated the Landrover to Purple Heart (even tho the guys @ Annapolis Landrover wanted to buy it when we were ready), and sold Mustang, locally. I miss my big red box!

I'be got a. 2000 Disco, and had issues a broke waterpump in Columbia, and a blown head gasket when my son borrowed it (probably related problems). All the other isssues were DIYd using Rover Forums to find solutions...and repairs.

I am sorry you had those issues cuz after we bought the Discovery, we had people tell us we would have problems. I guess, we just got lucky. Our mechanic has told us we were not the norm. The most major thing we had happen was getting the gas tank replaced, but that was a recall, so no cost. And, our mechanic knew how to reset that stupid catalytic converter light that stayed on forever after 50,000 miles, but it always passed emissions... probably won't buy a Landrover again, but I do miss him, great vehicle...we called him grandpa cuz he was so old...as in car years.

I'd buy one again, but if would have to be a diesel... Gas engines are not LR's forte... Drive train is bulletproof, transmission, differentials, 4WD, suspension, none better.

Agree. I have never owned a diesel vehicle...so you are saying that would be the better way to go, as in cost effective and performance, etc.(not that I had a prob with grandpa) ..I don't even know how much diesel is cuz was not an option...so, you are saying if my gas LR was good, then a diesel would be better..thanks, bob! Maybe I see another LR in my future. And, there is nothing like the LR in the snow...not that I am an offroader or anything!...just a mom, letting herself loose when she can!!:killingme

Very nice car, has great looks, several really nice colors. If I hadn't retired in the past year, I would have traded my 2009 Corolla in for a Cruze. Nothing wrong with the Corolla its been great, great gas mileage. The body style isnt the greatest, bit on the ugly side (pinstripe and body molding helped) my concern at the time I bought it was mpg. and it came through nicely.
