You mean except for the part where I wasn't advocating any punishment, certainly not burning or stoning? I don't see how a simple difference of opinion can remind you of the Salem witch trials in any meaningful way. Or at all.

Just because, by appearance, you don't like adults being naked around kids and think that they are somehow perverted with the goal of enticing a young one or ogling in a sexual manner. So when they do, or you hear of them doing so, BAM, guilty of perversion. It is an extremely small child perversion or pedophile population of adults. But because we are bombarded constantly of those caught and jailed, it is the first thing that someone thinks when presented with stories of the nudest community. And think of this, why was this story so news worthy to begin with? By itself, it really isn't. The only reason it was written and circulated, was to get this kind of sensationalistic attention. Because really, it is not news at all. It happens everyday.

It's not so much that as it is separation between parent and child. Taking away clothing also takes away power. It's hard to be an authority figure when your stuff is on display. And I get that some people don't want to parent; they want to be friends with their child. I disapprove of that as well.

But it sums up as:

Do you want to see your parents running around naked?

Well guess what? Your kids don't want to see you running around naked, either.

I'm not understanding with family's that live in or frequent nudist camps by and large would be bad parents for the simple reason that they enjoy being nude.
I would bet that all of the children that grow up in the nudist community are more well rounded and end up being responsible adults.
I'm more apt to believe that a family unit that spends quality time together doing anything within the law on the weekends and vacations is better that staying home and the kids sit in front of the tv, mom sews and dad mows the lawn and then goes to the bar.
