Unless there's a code of silence, I'll find out everything this weekend. I'm good at getting him to spill his guts.Well they were a legit 501(c)(3) organization. Board of directors, by-laws, monthly meetings, and such.
You could say that.

A Bucksnort reunion was held here on St. Georges Island some years back. The original annual event was a blast. Since I lived in 7D back then, we'd go there by boat. Was it a local thing? I heard my friend mention it in passing a week or so ago but at the time didn't say anything.
I kicked myself for missing the contents auction that was held only a couple years ago. Friend of mine picked up the big butcher block for little money. Whole bunch of Jimmy's store stuff went real cheap. You talking about Hurry's?
Like I said, you'll hear a lot of things about it. But what would you call an organization that threw parties where all profits made were donated to those in need?
You mean Andersons?..the bar?He even remembered Albertson's and everyone younger said it never existed.
Aside: The farm implement side was sold to a company that is, I believe, over on the Eastern shore. That side of the store is called "Budds Creek Implement" or something like that now. But Perry is still there..just sold me a new tractor a couple months ago in fact. The marine side is still Guy Brothers. No, boat motors, farm implements, parts.
I think it was called Albertson's. It was a grocery store with a sloping wood floor and a bar on the other side...I think it was on the road that leads to Schiebles. You mean Andersons?..the bar?
Did you recognize any of the people on the facebook page?A Bucksnort reunion was held here on St. Georges Island some years back. The original annual event was a blast. Since I lived in 7D back then, we'd go there by boat.
Albertson's was in Ridge across from the Ridge VFD carnival grounds, at the corner of Wynne Rd. and RT. 5. The Hideaway Bar was on the left side of the building with Albertson's on the right.I think it was called Albertson's. Didn't look..but I'm sure I know/knew many. I didn't move from Colton's Point to SGI until 1990. ;-)Did you recognize any of the people on the facebook page?
Thank you! I knew I wasn't crazy.Albertson's was in Ridge across from the Ridge VFD carnival grounds, at the corner of Wynne Rd. and RT. 5. The Hideaway Bar was on the left side of the building with Albertson's on the right.
Albertson's is a hella long way from Anderson's.
That's not enough for confirmation.I knew I wasn't crazy.
