NASA thingy went...

Larry Gude

Strung Out
...SPLAT.

Anyone waiting for solar atoms is gonna have to wait some more.

Parachute didn't open.

I'm sure Drudge will have a link soon.

I love the narration!

They have this live specialist calmly describing the careful process where the chutes open...three carefully trained helicopter pilots are poised to swoop in and catch the module in air during chute descent and then return the especially fragile, $260.000.000.00 space sensor to earth...

I have not laughed that hard in a while...it was so ironic that the all the planning, hopes and dreams, innovation and studies just went "Boink" like Calvin & Hobbs in their wagon.

And you know what...that 1/4 billion spent on the Boink was worth it...I will pay my one dollar for a good laugh like that anytime.

I wonder if Dave Letterman would be willing to throw one of those sensors off the roof at the NBC studios?

Go gett' um space man Spiff!

And for weeks in the news the discussions on them choosing stunt pilots, how many times they have to train, how they are the best... I saw at least four or five stories in the past couple of weeks on them being prepared and doing such a swell job at practice. They were catching it at 100%.

What could go wrong, eh?
