"LEXINGTON, Neb. — Authorities were looking in several states for a 13-year-old boy and a 25-year-old middle school teacher Thursday, on the run after police began investigating a relationship between the pair.

Kelsey Peterson, a sixth-grade teacher and basketball coach at Lexington Middle School, was placed on administrative leave last week, and police issued a warrant for her arrest on Monday. She is wanted on suspicion of child abuse, child endangerment and kidnappping, authorities said."

it has always seemed so weird to me to call a female a pedophile...

i can NEARLY guarantee that the teenage boy that is getting ez sex from one of these "pedophiles" is not complaining lol.

but i guess it is still illegal eh? They aren't old enough to give consent lol.

dont care the circumstance, there is no excuse!!! Both should have known better. And at 13, running off with the teacher, learning sooooo young :)

Perhaps it is because women are perceived to be more nurturing than men and are shocked when they pull something of this magnitude.

How sad this kids first experience is with such a person. At thirteen he should still be working up the nerve to kiss a girl his own age. So much for young romance and lovely memories, he will only have a homely sweaty 25 year old gym teacher flopping around on him to look back on. That and the humiliation of having his entire family/relatives/school talking about his sex acts.

She is a sicko. Just like men who do the same thing are sicko's,but she wont be badly punished for it like a man would be. She might get a year on probation, and have to look for another job.

Lexington Boy, Teacher Just Crossed Into Mexico

"OMAHA, Neb. -- A Lexington police investigator said the car owned by a female schoolteacher who authorities suspect is on the run with a 13-year-old boy has crossed the California border into Mexico.

Lexington police said earlier this week that they are looking for Kelsey Peterson and a male student at Lexington Middle School. Police Chief Paul Schwarz said Peterson's computer contained love letters exchanged between the teacher and student."

oh

all I know is I needed my passport to get into canada (through Alaska) 2 years ago and both sides (U.S. and Canada) checked it.

they really should keep better tabs on stuff like that.

No, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was made into a "Celebrity" like Mary Kay Letourneau was with the whole story of her passionate and forbidden "love" with that boy who was, what, 14? Her poor kids and husband had to suffer thru that public humilitation also. I cannot understand what attracts a woman to a kid that young. My son had friends around and the idea never entered my mind! (I know it's sick for males also - I am just looking at it from the female perspective.)
