Need a home for two ferrets

They are escape artists, little thieves, more curious than a cat and mega-poop factories!

They are also very lovable little critters that will have you rolling on the floor laughing.

We have four of them and never had a problem with any strong scent associatied with 'em.

I might have to go pick it up, I haven't seen it since I was a kid and it was on TV.
Exactly why she bought it for me! I enjoyed watching it again... it was fun remembering the story as it played out. The kids enjoyed it too. They had never heard of it before.

OK Gang, this is for real. These ferrets need a new home. One male, one female, both are in need of medical attention, especially the female. The female was banged up pretty badly, and left for dead in a plastic bag, but found in time. She is alive, but unstable on her feet now. I don't know if there is spinal chord damage or brain damage there, but something is definitely not right.

There is a long sad story behind these two, but they must stay together, and will need special attention. Overall they seem healthy, other than what I mentioned about the female. They will need to be worked with, trained as they seem to have no regard for a litter box. I'm guessing that this is due to them having repeatedly gone too long without having clean litter boxes.

They both have sweet personalities, can be handled and pet without issue. They are in desperate need of baths and nail trims for starters.

Email me your contact info if you can help these two out. I can be reached at jeep_n_hog@yahoo.com and I'll put you in touch with the current owners.

OMG.. That's aweful....
I had 40 ferrets when I was a kid...My father was a breeder.. MY personal ferret was a black footed, which at the time was on the endangered species list...

I also kept a silver mit about ten years ago that was rescued from similar conditions..
That just breaks my heart... They are such lovable animals, and so much fun when they are kept healthy and happy..
Unfortunatly, I'm not in a postion to help.. I'll ask if anyone I know wants them.
I know of a lady who rescues ground hogs.. Maybe she can help..

I'd love to help them, it's breaking my heart to hear of their plight, but I just can't. I already have 2 ferrets in my zoo.

Poor little guys though. I will definitely continue to ask around.

Why don't the current owners take them to the vet for goodness sakes? I hate to think of them suffering.

I don't think the current owners are capable of taking care of themselves, let alone any animals, and unfortunately, there is ALOT of animals. Friggin amazing.

That's such a shame. I freaking hate irresponsible pet owners. All of my fur babies (and there are MANY) are well taken care of and get lots of love and attention. (well except for the Goliath Bird Eating Spiders..they're not really cuddly. :lmao: )

I have been asking around, but it's hard to find homes for "special needs" animals like that "not right" ferret. Have you considered calling some kind of animal rescue and telling THEM about the situation? Do we even have a local ASPCA?
