I personally use Miller but Dr. Sheth is good and will run tests on anything and everything. There was a family dr. on one of these threads that just moved to St. Mary's, can't remember the name but you can pm Lusby mom she knows.

Watch our for Dr. Sheth's witch of a wife...Not very nice and very un-professional.

We are looking for a new pediatrician as we are unsatisfied with Dr. Miller. Our daughter has been sick since the first week of September, we've taken her back to Dr. Miller's office several times only to be told its probably a virus and it should go away on it's own. Honestly a 2 month virus is a little hard to believe. Between his office staff and this situation we have had enough and are seeking a second opinion and a new doctor. Any recommendations for St. Mary's or Charles county would be appreciated. Thanks

Has your child had well days at all in these 2 months? If so it is probably viruses as kids get alot of them especially when school starts again. Not to change the subject but we all want our kids well and get frustrated when it doesn't happen quickly. Alot of parents jump from doctor to doctor and many times wind up with unneeded antibiotics, when the virus was ready to run it's course anyway! With all this hype in the media about Mrsa and antibiotic resistance in kids nowadays I would be happy with a doctor that is not antibiotic happy!! I hope your child will be feeling better soon!

I left Dr. Miller's cause of the rude girl at the front and I have been to Dr. Sheth's a couple times. I don't see how people think the staff is nice there. I only went there cause he was highly recommended by a lot of people. He is a very nice doctor, but his staff isn't so friendly. They don't acknowledge you when you check in. None of the staff speak to you or even say hi. His wife looks mean but looks can be decieving. They don't smile. The assistant was sucking on a piece of candy last time I was there while talking to me. I told her I had a question and she rolled her eyes at me. The assistants act like they don't want to call you to the back cause they are too busy chit chatting to each other. At least at Dr. Miller's office it was only the girl who answered the phone that was rude, not the entire staff. Are these staff members at pediactric offices just worn out from working with sick kids everyday? I don't expect someone to be Miss Sunshine but damn.

The only friendly one I have seen was working for the sex offender dr.

I take my children to Dr. Fahmi in the Bean bldg. The office staff is very professional and polite and he rocks! The kids adore him and so do I. If your child is sick, you will be seen the same day. He will turn no sick child away, sometime the wait is longer because of this but I know I am getting good care so I don't mind. When my two year old was having daily blood work done and a host of other tests, Dr. Fahmi would call and check on her when he got the chance, sometimes 8 or 9 pm, but it showed us he really cared.

Dr. Fahmi: "Hi Mommy, Hi Daddy!" Very nice, but was very annoying.

No, had there been periods of wellness it would have been understandable. It ended up being a sinus infection, which I am sure was originally caused from a virus. Still not happy with Dr. Miller's office though as we felt a simple decogestant would have helped immensely in the beginning. She had originally been taken to the Dr. in hopes that he could provide something a little stronger than the over-the-counter stuff because while it was moving it really wasn't moving well.

Tried to make my 10 month old daughter an appointment today at Dr. Sheth's office and they told me they couldn't see my daugher. I didn't think offices would turn away a sick kid but obviously I was wrong. At least Dr. Miller's office never turned away my oldest child when she was sick. I know that they get swamped and you can expect to wait a long time but they flat out told me no. I took her to the emergency room just to see if she had an ear infection. She was screaming and I didn't want to have to wait until tomorrow afternoon. I guess I will be looking for another doctor......again. sheesh

I use Dr. Khalsa. She is awesome, but the front office chic is stupid and retard. She "books" your appointment but doesn't put it in the computer sometime and if you have an appointment right before they cloths she wont let you pay for the visit. She always said the computer down. Other then that the doctor is great. With in 2 weeks we found out that my son no longer has bilateral reflux of the kidneys.

people, you need to check the dates before you post. I"m pretty sure the op has found a new doctor in the last 6 months.

Dr. Sheth is the only pediatrician I will go to. My 2nd child was born very ill and was sent to Childrens in DC. Dr. Sheth came to see me in the hospital AFTER hours and often checked in with me. Once my child was well, he and I worked with the other doctors to be sure that he could adiquately care for my child. He referred to himself as a county doctor and told me up front that I might need a specialist - once it was determined he could care for my child then it was all fine. He is so wonderful, and his wife, is wonderful. At times there is a wait to get in, it's because so many parents appreciate his care. Never rushed, never a stupid question, always an honest, legible answer. Makes you feel like the good parent you are trying to be. FYI Dr. Dhillion and he are weekend partners.
