Looking to buy a quart today,in St.Mary's - Leonardtown and points south. Who has good ones? NOT the nasty looking jars in the grocery stores!!

Wade out and find your own.

J/K, try the rehabbed McKays on Hollywood/Leonardtown Rd. The seafood there looked every bit as good as Woodburn's did.

Great oysters

Daly's seafood in Mechanicsville is great! They're the only "shuckers" left in St. Mary's County. We had some for Thanksgiving and they were shucked about 30 minutes before I picked them up.

They call me ... Sarcasmo
Try Chaptico market or Murphys in Avenue. If you call yourself a buddscreekman you should be able to find oysters

some people just give themselves a nickname because they think are one and/or they think it sounds cool....Like those guys that wear Harley shirts(and don't own a bike or don't ride enough so that people don't think they own one) call themselves bikers

Hows the f-i-l's(I think that's what he was) pool cover??

We got some nice big ones from Chesapeaks Bounty. Hardly any liquor in the jar. We fried them up with just Flour, and corn meal mix. Wonderful! $22 a quart.

Kellams sold me some bad ones years ago and wouldn't stand behind their product when I brought them back. Can't stand McKays,as people and as grocers. But Daly's and Chesapeake's Bounty are always a thumbs up. I wish CB was closer,it would be no question. Daly's it is!

On a saltine with a squeeze 'o lemon or a splash of tobasco.
Now I'm all hungry.

no saltine....no lemon....take them right out of the water, shuck it, and suck it down :faint:

My bff is a Aquafarmer...he farms oysters and clams on the other side of the Bay(from here) and they are approved to be eaten raw....I am headed his way this weekend to attempt to eat my weight in them

I normally just use a little squeeze of lemon and it's down the hatch straight from the shell :yum:

Ugh I like them too much to eat that many at one time, I'd like to enjoy them again  and I've never had them that fresh...jealous! :neener:
