Need Advice

I am having a major problem with one of my neighbors. They live right behind me and seem to think that it is perfectly fine to let their Min Pin use my yard as her potty area. If it was an occasional thing, I would be more willing to turn a blind eye to this behavior. Unfortunately, it's not. I see their dog every day.

They also seem to think that it is just fine to let her antagonize my dogs after she has finished pooping. Sometimes they are even outside when their dog comes onto my property and challenges my two. They just keep on doing what they were doing and don't call her back to them.

I have asked them politely to keep their dog on their property and they refuse to. I can't call AC since by the time they would get here, the dog would more than likely be back on her own turf and they probably couldn't do anything.

I just don't know what to do to get through to these people that I am sick of their and their dogs behavior towards me and mine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

They won't listen to you?
Buy a Pellet gun.
The dog will $hit in its own house, because it will not want to go outside.

Husband wants to try the pellet gun idea. I've said no. I don't want to hurt the dog since it is the owners responsibility to train her but the behavior has to stop!

Catch the dog and call animal control. Tell them you found a stray. Or get one of those motion-sensor sprinklers.

Good fences make good neighbors.

I do have a fence up (4' chain link) but it doesn't go back to my property line. I've had a surveyor come out and mark my lines since the Min Pin owners asked how I knew their dog was on my property. Put up signs on my trees to make it more obvious to them where the line was. Still, the behavior continues.

Are they black people?
Are you black people?

I ask, because my anwser changes with race.

They are. I'm not. I also think this might be part of the reason I am still having a problem with them not respecting the property lines and my request.

Line your back property line with mouse traps, spaced every two feet.
Stagger another behind that.

Once that dog gets snapped, it won't come back.
But if it goes home crying with a mouse trap on its paw, them neighbor people may not be very happy.

You could file a complaint with the Animal Matters Hearing Board. They will most likey be ordered to abate the nuisance and obey all laws for 1 year. Should they not follow the order further steps will be taken.
