Need some fabrication

Ordered some mounting brackets to add some Givi bags to the new Triumph but they come with some butt ugly extensions to mount the stock turn signals.
See pic

I need some place to cut off the welded on turn signal mount and then grind it smooth. I could probably do it with my Dremel tool but it would probably take a LOT longer than somebody with some full sized tools.

Any suggestions?

I would use my sawsall, and grind it with sandpaper attachment for the drill.
You would go thru a lot of dremel discs to do that.

Might be able to hook you up, my air powered cutting wheel should make short work of that, just not sure if I will have the time this weekend. If , nothing pops by Friday, send a me a reminder, I'll let you know for sure.

Thanks but I went by Lowes this morning and got some new cut off wheels and grinding stone for the Dremel and some gloss black Krylon. Took about a half hour each and the extensions are off.
Now for some grinding

My 21 liter Givi bags just arrived on my front porch.

A Gallon of milk fits inside :yahoo:

Just got an e-mail informing that the new rear light/signal assembly I ordered that will fit between the bag holders is "in production" and will be ready to ship in 2-3 weeks.
:banghead:

I've got plenty of time to get the modification done :ohwell:

Good grief. Take a ride to St. George's Island and I'll make sure it gets taken care of in short order...the machine shop isn't real busy these days anyway.:buddies:
