I would also explain to my child that it was totally not his fault she got upset, that some people are just not happy and look for reason to be ugly. And let him know that you and his Father will work it out, that he is not responsible to fix it or at fault. He was doing what you told him was Ok to do..ride his 4 wheeler in the front yard.

I would never involve my child in this and ask him to do something mean, he already feels like it is all his fault.

Thats why I asked how old he was.:tap: Is he old enough to explain that this girl is a fool and not to worry about her? That he is on his property and she just has issues.

We have almost 2 acres. Only about 1 is cleared. My son is 8 years old...the four wheeler is a 50cc (small)...but always wears his helmet when riding. Doesn't act crazy...just so happen he made a dirt trail around a tree he kept riding around. That's where the dust was coming from.

How can you say that without knowing the details..

If he's an 8 year old kid, on a Grizzly and their front yard is 100 X 100 feet, and the house next door is 6 feet from the yard.. I'd say the problem STARTS there..

His four wheeler is small. And also, her car wasn't even parked in their driveway...it was in their yard, in the grass, right next to the boundary line. My son knows it's not his fault. We have told him that.

Once again, if the child was doing what the parents said was OK to do, and he got yelled at ,I would say the parents are at fault. I have some times made mistakes with my children, making wrong decisions. I explain to them I WAS WRONG not THEM.

We some time as parents make mistakes/wrong decisions, ( if we knew it was going to cause pain to our child we would never do it, it was a mistake ) but someone else messes with our kids...Look out, as parents we can get really crazy!!!

Yeah, BSGal is one neighbor I would hate to have.

:lmao:

If the new neighbors didn't let their dogs crap in our yard, we wouldn't have mowed our lawn and stirred up all that dust right after they washed all 5 of their vehicles.

I'll show them. Now I have a big dog.

Glad you're not in CRE cause riding 4 wheelers on your own property is against the rules... dogs coming into your yard to do poopy is also against the rules....

Good thing you husband was so cool about it...

I feel sorry for your son being stuck in the middle of all this...

PS...nails in the driveway also work really good

When the daughter got belligerant that would have been the fuel right there to insist to see her checkbook of who was paying the mortgage where she was at. THat would have caused Dad to come out and handle the situation...

Now when the slide went up in my yard I would have drug it over to their front door, rung the door bell and would have had a LONG discussion with my neighbor - and his daughter.

Also - if your son has been riding the 4-wheeler in the same place for a period of time (historically that is) and no fuss has been made I would have discussed that as well. One of two things; 1. - Either move her car, which she could EASILY do -or- 2. Being considerate, get a garden hose and wet down the area which is causing the dust to fly... not a mud hole - but enough to knock the dust down.

Tie the slide to the back of the 4 wheeler with a rope and have your son drag it around creating an even bigger dust cloud.

Then explain to him he met the first rabid biatch of many that he will cross paths with in his long walk on this earth and to show no weakness.

2 acres is plenty of room and I can't see where it would disturb any neighbors. I've got an idiot next door on a quarter acre lot that lets their son ride a dirt bike around in circles in the back yard. He invites his friends over and they run around in the backyard. I think they've since put a stop to it because they don't have a backyard left. :lmao:

We're all mad here.
Just a kid? I'm in my early twenties and I know that if I ever said something like that to one of my parents' neighbors (especially over something so petty involving a child) I would be asked to apologize right then and there or leave their property. The father should have told her to apologize for being so nasty and put her right in her place in front of you. I guess that's why she's an obnoxious....

At 20 years old she should have been taught to respect her elders. Apparently her parents have failed in that part of her education.
