Isn't that funny? He is so sweet. I had to get him because with his age and the fact that he has heart worm I figured his chances of ever getting adopted were pretty slim.

Bless your heart, I saw Butterball on the site and felt so bad for him! Thank you for helping an older pup w/ problems. The kitty is very cute too.

They're home!

:yahoo: We picked them up last night from Charles County Humane Society. Butterball has to go back in 3 weeks to get his doo dads removed, start his heartworm, and get his teeth worked over. They typically do all of that prior to bringing them home, but his teeth are all kinds of gross and probably infected, so they have him on 3 weeks of antibiotics before doing any type of surgery.

The cat is doing great, you'd think he's lived here his entire life. He made himself right at home and has the full run of the house.

Butterball looks like he has adjusted quite well and as though he has been there for a little while too, he looks content! Thats a wonderful thing :yahoo: you did by adopting "older" family members! Hopefully you will have many happy years with them.
