Watch yourselves, folks, they are opening up the northbound side, one lane, from end to end. Traffic lights? I don't know. But the kids and I were biking up to Sheetz about 4pm, since I knew this would be the last weekend we could. Three diferent Lane trucks made a point of stopping to let us know the new patterns were being going live in a few hours. I sorta think that doing it in the dark might be silly, but we will see.

I came through this this morning around 5am and it was workers at each main intersection on the road in case you needed help. Some stop lights were working properly and some was just flashing yellow. I had no problem when I came through.

No problems either, I still think there are too many lights on that road now. but one good thing is that you can now pass if someone is turning left and the option of going around a person who is slowing for a right turn.

May be too many but those are intersection with all the accidents, Amber, Buck Hewitt, and the park. The light at the school will help the buses and the light at Pegg should help the traffic that uses Gate 1 and heads that way. We'll see how it works out.

Yep, only issue is that I have to back out into traffic, not sure what I am going to do about that.

I was greeted with the "right turn only" sign when I pulled onto CH R this morning. If everyone just pays attention, there should be no problems.

Yeah noticed coming out of Stallman the one way signs...just trying to figure out how to get back into my neighborhood if I come from Pegg Rd. Also didn't like having to go all the way to Pegg Rd so I can get to 235 North. Just sometimes doesn't make sense to me.

If you're coming north from Pegg, the next U-turn to hit Rutherford is at the entrance to the park. Thats less than a 10th of a mile, so not too bad.

Already been a few, including one at the intersection of 235 this morning.

If that's the one I saw at about 8, it was in front of Griffins on 235NB, past the intersection, center lane. Looks like one car caught fire.

Hell, if it drops to say one fender bender a week, we have made great gains. Used to be 2-3 fender benders a week, with maybe 1-2 "major" collisions every month. I know there was a spate of them within the last two weeks, but thats not a very fair test. The road in that regard was almost as bad as before construction, single opposing lanes next to each other. I expect you will see very few head ons, replaced with some T-bones as folks remember "HOLY CRAP, THERES A LIGH.....CRASH". Once folks get used to it, I really expect the head ons and T-bones to drop off, with the new most common accident being rear end collisions as folks rear end folks like me, who cant enter a 90 degree driveway at 30mph.

:otter: I've already lost 2 cars (totaled) to rear end collisions on CR (both of them admitted to talking on their cell phones.) I'm glad they both had good insurance.

Yep, only been rear ended once in my life, and it was waiting to turn into my driveway on CR. When I got back to the lady who had rear ended the van who had stopped for me, she was freaking out looking for her cell, and I'm pretty sure it didnt drop the call she was on.

NOT Politically Correct!!
My buddies wife just called him to say someone not paying attention turned into the closed off lane thinking it was the south bound lane so technically was driving head on with the north bound traffic! Could have been deadly if both lanes were open! :yikes:

Watch yourselves at the Pegg road intersection, folks on cell phones are not noticing that there's a big red light staring them in the face. And folks in minivans are not noticing that there are now two lanes going north, and they should stay right if they want to go straight.

Those are called women, and they shouldn't have a license anyways :drummer:

NOt anymore, crappy driving is equal opportunity these days. The cel phone was a woman, the lane choice was a guy driving a minivan like he was chasing is disappearing manhood. Had been watching him since back at the Ford dealership. Going about 60-65, rabbit lane choices, no signals. And then, when we got the green, and the woman did her incursion, I dont think he saw her until I honked at her, the way he was hammering it forward.
