Read the mag reviews before you buy the auto clutch model. Most revievers have said it's low speed operation is a little rough.

Nice bike but I think Yamaha limited production in the USA and you have to order it and wait like 8 - 12 weeks.

Honda makes one very similar, I think it is the ST 1300 with a V 4 instead of an inline 4.
Dang! I like that one too. I like the idea of ABS. And adjustable seats etc. Kind of gadgety I guess, but it might be nice in a longer ride.

I was at Atlantic cycles in Waldorf and saw one. I am more of a cruiser guy but I sat on it and MAN it was comfortable! It has an electric adjustable wind screen too.

The ones without the automatic clutch are sitting in showrooms.
The Kawasaki Concurs is also a good sport tourer. Getting dated, but they're only about $8500.

Why didn't you go for the ST-1300 or the FJR?

I would really like to keep my cruiser too. You know kind of start a stable. A bike for every occasion. Somehow I don't think that'll fly though. :lmao:

$$$$ and the riding position. The St and the FJR are sport bikes with the tight knee riding position. Mine's more of a standard/dirt bike position with a lot less leg tuck.
