As far as race relations go, there's always friendly banter about our favorite nascar drivers and we have a local oval favorite named Gumbo!!

We also have a local street favorite (Acers, please step up).

I lived in the 7D for over 30 years, and never heard it pronounced DEED. It was always Dee by Gawd, Cap'n.
