Daughter's phone won't hold a charge, so I'm thinking about giving her my phone (almost 2 years old) and upgrading to something better. There's one she showed me over the weekend - it flips around or something, really cool! After the mail-in rebate, the cost was less than $50 I believe.

I believe you are talking about the OTHER one my daughter wanted. The top 2/3rds of the phone rotates, and you can get streaming video? Lots of problems with that phone amongst her friends too. This was my daughters first choice when it first came out, prior to that she wanted the Chocolate, but she's decided against both of them due to friends of hers reporting problems..

There's another one that Samsung makes, flips open 'up' like a flip phone, but also flips open 'sideways' to give you a dual purpose keyboard.. I looked at this phone, then looked at my big fingers, and how confusing the buttons were, and decided on the ENV

Big fan of the smartphones here. I have a 2+ year old Treo 600 that'll get upgraded to a 700 this week, and the missus has a 650. Extremely useful toys especially if you do a lot of stuff on the road and need to get your email and web without having to fire up the laptop.
