Yep, you guessed it, we got another kitty. She has been here about a week and she is fantabulous! She is so well behaved and sweet and loving.

Her name was Beaker, if you saw her ad in the classifieds. We have decided to rename her Sybil cause she's a little psychotic! :lmao:

Anyway, without further adieu, here she is...

She is absolutely beautiful! My daughter wants a cat so bad, but my son has extreme allergies to cats, so it's a no go. We settled on getting a second dog -- one that was free to good home on the classifieds here as well. She's not too bright, but she's sweet! Good luck with your newest family member!

Yeah, my son and I both have allergies, his is a little worse than mine, to cats, but we go and get shots every week so we can keep our kitties! :lol:

Thanks everyone! She is a real beauty. My cat Magic is the same color only he is long haired and he is GORGEOUS! But I can't ever get a good picture of him because it is like having a feral cat in the house. He always runs and hides before I can get a pic! :shrug:

I'd probably do the same thing if I developed allergies to my little Gemini - I could never get rid of her. I'm glad you gave the psycho cat a good home with other cats to keep her company. Congrats! :smile:

Mousebaby, did these shots help you keep your other critters too? :) I know my husband is alergic to cats, and we've talked about shots too, but his isn't so serve that it's killing him, our kitty just can't be in his face or in our bed. The worst part is he's like "Cat King" where ever he goes cats just seem to flock to him (which he enjoys, don't let him ever tell you different :lmao:), it's really so funny :)
Your new girl is so pretty, congrats! What does your other guy think of his new companion?

Oh, well at first Boogers was not too happy about the decision to get another cat. Then one day Sybil decided to start playing with Boogers and he was cool with that! :lmao:

As for the shots, yes, what he does is slowly give you shots of the allergen and builds your immune system up to it. All in all he said it could take up to three years to be completely immune to the cats for a severe allergy. So for a not so severe allergy it wouldn't take as long. :yay:

That's great! I didn't even realize my mom had seasonal allergies until last year. Apparently she had gotten allergy shots 20 years ago!! I had no idea there was such "life" to these shots, that's very encouraging and it sounds like what they are doing/using now is even more effective. That's great and congrats again on your new gal!
