And because the previous Board of Commissioners (Thompson, Brugman, Jarboe, Eagan, and Chesser) didn't have a Zoning Ordinance in place, and it took this board over 3 years of their term to do it. That's why the super gas stations, and the big boxes can easily locate here. It might be more difficult now, as the largest footprint for a commercial building is 50,000 Sq Ft. But until recently, our government didn't have a plan to deal with them.
