New Italian Restaurant

I was just wondering if anyone had tried the new Italian place that opened up in the Wildewood shopping plaza? It's the new restaurant that took over the Indigo Grill. The new name is something like Peluzzi or Peluzzo...I'm not sure if that's correct.
It was "ok". We're a little short of decent Italian in this county, and this place is just "ok".

We got there last Friday at around 7, and there was going to be a long wait because apparently they had a huge crowd of prom guests. We waited in the bar area, which apparently had more tables than chairs. We tried to order drinks, but were told they were all out of all mixed frozen drinks (no margaritas, daiquiris, etc.). I had a White Russian. The appetizers were ok, but nothing to write home about.

They sat us at a tiny table for four, while a whole section of tables for six was nearly unoccupied - we asked to be moved. There, the wait staff was gracious - but careless. We managed to get bread on the table, and a first order of food - BEFORE THEY EVEN BROUGHT US WATER. It was nearly impossible to locate our waitperson each time she left the table. My wife's food was cold - not even warm (I think it was lasagna). I ordered alfredo with meatballs - or should I say, *meatBALL*, since it just had one big one. It was unremarkable. The whole evening seemed like this.

This is the guy who runs Lenny's right? So he's no newbie to restaurants. I just thought your average visit to the Macaroni Grill or Olive Garden had this place beat.

I went there for lunch, and ordered a salad with chicken in it. I wish I remembered the name, but the name didn't fit what was served. I expected a warm piece of chicken, but instead got a cold piece that tasted like leftover chicken from my fridge. Wasn't worth $8.99. The waitress was very pleasant. I hope this place gets the kinks out soon.

I would just like to inform anyone that has had a less than satisfactory experience know that we are very concerned about the issues, and are continuing to work out all the kinks. Many of the problems we experienced during the 1st month have begun to settle down, and we are aware that there are still a few areas that could use strengthening. We welcome any comments/suggestions and look forward to hearing from our guests about the experiences they have had. I hope that for those of you who have had an unpleasant experience that you do come back and give us a second chance, and feel free to let us know that your last visit was not a good one.

For all of you that have been supporting us, we thank you and look forward to seeing you again soon. We have a terrific staff that has been working around the clock to get our restaurant up and running. And we hope that we will be a place you will want to come to often.

Again feel free to call or email with any questions or comments.

I ate there again this past Saturday night. It was a 100% turn around from the last time I was there. Our party of 7 was seated in minutes, and our wine and food came out quickly. Overall the food was good , our only complain was that the meatball subs were too dry. They had no marinara on them, so that could have been better. We did end up staying there for 1.5-2 hours, but that wasn't the restaurant holding us up, we were just having too good of a time to leave.
We were pretty amazed at the price, a party of 7, with 2 bottles of wine, dinner and desert for some folks for under 150$.
Oh yeah, and they have a peanut butter pie for desert now that is AWESOME.
