So this is the 5th time I have gotten a call from 904-259-4351, we can give you a great rate on all of your cards. So I ask which account they are referring to, "any card" is the response. I smell a scam, so I have asked them to remove my number (all 5 times) and basically get told I am idiot or I need to be "enlightened" or cursed at.

Yeah i know ignore the call, but 9pm is late in our house, as the kids are trying to get to sleep.

My question: 1) anyone else getting this type of call 2) have you reported anything similar to the FTC?

TIA!

Report the number

If they call back again, tell them that you have forwarded their number to your lawyer and you are going to sue them for harassment

I checked my caller ID log and found the same phone number. I haven't answered a call from them though.

When someone like that calls me, I open the line and hang right up without answering. That way I don't have to listen to the phone ringing excessively.

I got a LOT of calls from them.
I asked they take my number off, still got calls
I asked for a BJ and the calls stopped.

I've said it before....if you answer the phone, they know you exist and the number is "good". Once they know that, they will continue to call. You have to resist the urge to answer the phone. Let the answer machine pick it up. Scan the incoming call to see if you know the caller or not before you pick up. Disconnect the phone after hours.

I listen to see who is calling and let the answer machine get it if I don't know who it is. Most of the time, the caller hangs up without leaving a message.

You don't have to pick the phone up just because it rings.

Unwanted Calls

If you want to find out where those calls are originating from it will not do you any good to call the number back as there will not be a response, but if you go to Anywho.com do a reverse lookup and type in phone number you will see that the calls are originating from Macclenny, Fla and two different addresses share the same number. Yes it is not on the up and up. Best solution to these cvalls is simply do not answer any call that you do not recognize the number and utilize the Anywho.com to see where call originated from.Another good search is Telcodata.US: Search by Full Area Code / Single Exchange.
You will see most of these calls are from residental addresses just creating call lists for the telemarketers. The "Do Not Call list" is only for legitimate businesses. The creeps pay no attention.
