American Dream is finally opening. Here’s the 17-year saga of how we got here.
Of the 3-million-square-foot mega-mall, only the Nickelodeon Universe indoor theme park, an NHL regulation-sized ice rink and the three-story candy department store, IT’SUGAR, will be open initially.

The DreamWorks Waterpark will follow with a Nov. 27 opening. Then, Big SNOW American Dream, the indoor ski and snowboard park, will open Dec. 5. And by March 2020, the rest of the mega-mall will open – all 450 shops, restaurants and services.
