New Olive Garden wait in line thread

How can you fake noodles?

You'd be surprised what they can do with tofu..... :blech:

I don't care for Cracker Barrel. Everything I have ever gotten there just has way too much salt for me. Same with Bob Evans. The food would be great if the backed off the salt.

They're out to get us
I don;t know why ANYONE would go to a Cracker Barrel, let alone go out of the way to get to one.. :barf:

at least they have something to do while you wait! you must be grouchy because their game keeps callin you an ignoramoose!

Olive Garden is kind of plain.

THEN I ate at Carrabba's.
No competition. Carrabba's beats OG anytime.

I haven't been to the Waldorf one though. Only one in Florida.

I think we will skip the new OG here completely, and when we are in Waldorf, go to Carrabba's. MUCH BETTER.

Went to CCBC in downtown DC on Saturday night - only an 8 minute wait before being seated! Of course we did get there before the hockey game let out..

the greasely food helps with constipation?

FWIW, try Macaroni Grill or Cheese Cake Factory - both are very good (for chains).

Why do people care so much about Olive Garden?

It's "new." Don't you remember when that crappy fast food seafood joint opened last year? You would have thought the Pope was in town. There were lines of cars on Great Mills Road for weeks!!! Nowadays, you're lucky to see a single car in the parking lot.

Olive Garden will always be crowded IMO.

Not true :killingme I went there Friday night. Drive thru. I waited in line for 28 minutes at the drive thru! :cds: The truck in front of me waited at the window for over 15 minutes! I couldn't escape the line either, however I did think long and hard about driving over the curb to get out of line. When I FINALLY left, the line wrapped around the building and the line inside was packed!!!!

My only guess is: Friday night, Lint, everyone wanted fish??? :jameo:

The wife went for lunch on Friday and didn't have much of a wait. A lot of it depends on when you are trying to go. During dinner time (probably around 5-8) on Friday/Saturday is going to be a long wait...pretty much anywhere you go. Yes, OG probably has longer wait times because of the newness of it, but you should expect that at a new place (not just here in SoMD).

I got shrimp. For being fast food, frozen shrimp, they weren't too bad. I didn't have to cook them, so that made it better

I love Texas Road House
I waited for about an hour and a 45 minutes on Friday evening. Its really not a big deal. Just ask for some breadsticks to eat in line. Most people don't know you can do that.
