Did these dumb bastards look at the cause of these accidents before they jump the gun and make more dumbazz laws? NOT. Half the motorcycle accidents in this area are caused by stupidity and other vehicles not watching out for the motorcycles. Example: I'm riding down the road and a woman pulls out in front of me. Now I'm on 2 small wheels and stopping distance is critical so I have to swearve around the right side of her to avoid hitting her in the rear and avoid on coming traffic. She's on her cell phone, didn't even stop at the stop sign before she pulled out in front of me. And as I pull around her, I look in my mirror to see her talking on her cell phone and giving me the finger with her other hand. Driving with her feet no doubt. Stupid people cause accidents and she was one of them. This is the most I've ranted in awhile. :coffee: :coffee: And it's still early.

:lmao:

Tim Bouche, president of the cycle manufacturers' Motorcycle Safety Foundation, said officials should consider that older riders are the largest group of riders, not just the largest group of fatal crashes.

"It's not really saying there's a cause and effect there, or that it's a key factor," Bouche said. "It's simply that the average rider is older and they're on larger bikes."

The effort is in its infancy, but officials from the Washington State Patrol and the Department of Licensing are already discussing refresher training courses for experienced riders and a requirements to show a motorcycle license before buying a bike.

Unless they require ALL drivers to have training or show a license, it will never survive a court challenge.
