New restaurant in Lusby

Did you actually read the sign or are you going off what you heard? The sign says "Mexico" like the one in H'town. Granted, it's still another pre-made tex-mex type place that we don't need.

Nope, there are 2. Mexico by Walgreens and Monterey by Giant. Talk about Mexican overload! :faint:

Ok, I didn't see Cablechick post. You got to be kidding! Who in the hell is in charge of planning and zoning in this county.. Honestly!! Do we need this many Mexican place in one location. Wonder which one would go out of business first..No wonder there is a lot of fat people around, all that seems to be going up is food places... Can we get some decent retail stores. I want a Bath and Body works and a Borders here in Lusby.

Who the heck sent red karma for that? I was just pointing out there's already a tex-mex style place in Lusby. Sheesh....
Don't feel bad for some reason I got GREY karma ( whatever that is ) and unsigned of course! It's the Karma Fairies stricking again! They must not have anything better to do! They could at least leave a reason for it! But I guess that would be a little to easy!

I agree! We need a good book store and bath and body works would be nice as well, along with a payless shoe store.

A Starbucks just outside of the Ranch Club, that should be interesting. Between the hippies and all the kids in the farty muffler club I won't
be going within 100 yds. of that place, not that I would ever go to that communist supporting establishment anyway.

I have to apologize for my other post. I'm the dumba$$ that didn't see the sign, then decided to post after a couple of barley pops. I drove by this morning and saw BOTH signs. My bad.

Think about it. Where is there a book store in Calvert? Also I would love to have a Trader Joe's here!!! Or some cute little boutique store. My hubby wants a Faders or a tinderbox here.

It's official: Southern Maryland is no longer Southern Maryland - it's become just another exurb of Washington. What I'd give to see Rt. 4 and Rt 235 restored to 2 lanes, and all the national chain stores and franchises - vaporized.

And the worst part is knowing that the process will continue, and continue, and continue... In 25 years, this place will be nothing but bedroom communities as far as the eye can see, interspersed with strip malls and big-box stores... we'll call it "Southern Jerseyland".

Too bad the only people you have to blame are the smart southern Marylanders. They sold their land for unbelievable profit to the places you speak of, and off they go to a better climate, leaving the rest of you here.

How many Mexican themed restuarants do we need???? I am sick of it I want something new!

Until we get a great mexican restaraunt would be my choice. We don't have one of those. We have okay mexican restaraunts.

(fyi, I don't consider burrito places real mexican restaraunts; they are burrito shops)

Unless you go to Waldorf, there ain't much in either St Mary's or Calvert. There's just Bay Books for new books.
