Very nice! You gotta come up some time and go with the crew. You'd fit right in! It's typically an all HD affair lead around by this one fat guy on an over sized rice burner...

Sweet ride. A Street Glide will be my next scoot. I hope you paid for the extended warranty. My Road King has been a shop queen. Starter, Stater, rotor, wiring harness, both front brake rotors (2x) and a variety of small items over about 15 trips to the dealer.

Soon as I get the training wheels off, baby! It sure doesn't lane change at the flick of a wrist like the VStar did. I didn't expect the insurance to be 3X as much either.

No mean spirit here but why own such a bike when it seems to be falling apart around itself? Are upgrade parts available to make these issues go away until normal wear and tear kills them vice bad relaibility?

 The HD crowd talks lovingly at how well the SG handles compared to their pigs.

They handle just fine. It's just it costs 3X as much, insurance is 3X and weight is 3x.

You belong on a Harley anyway. Something not quite right about you on that little v star!

:buddies:

I thought maybe because of the more cc's. Puts it in class three. How much is your ins. ? Progressive wants $579 a year. The 1100 is $169.

I got hosed because I was a new rider and I have no insurance experience rating because the bike is the only personal insurance I've had for over 20 years. The truck is a company vehicle.

$700. :bendover:

I am hoping it goes down, a lot, this year. No claims, not tickets.

Feel better now?

Damn, I got Progressive for 420 when I bought a 2010 Road King and added the 2005 Dyna Glide for 205. Pay 625 for both bikes and I thought that was high. This was still cheaper than Erie, who I have all my auto's with.
