Looks like Charlotte Hall is getting a new Verizon store. Any idea when it might open? We've had one in the area before in Charlotte Hall Square, but is now a liquor store.

My understanding is that this is a VERIZON store, not a Verizon AUTHORIZED retailer. Big difference between the 2.

I haven't seen any movement inside it since the building went up months ago. The Verizon sign is on the outside though.

What is the differences? Someone said the Verizon Store on Great Mills is not a Verizon Store But a Dealer or something.

There are Verizon Corporate Stores and Authorized Verizon Retailers. It's been my experience, as a long-time Verizon customer, that only in the corporate stores do I reliably receive accurate information, worthwhile advice, and timely responses for any problems. The "authorized retail" locations (Leonardtown shopping center, for example) have been terribly hit and miss. I stopped using them altogether.

:yeahthat:
They also are more expensive than the company stores.
The kiosk in BJs and the Verizon store by Lowes are the only company stores in St. Mary's. The rest are "authorized retailers" until the Charlotte Hall store opens.
The "Authorized Retailers" are the AutoZone vs. factory/dealer parts counter.

Give it a few months to get permits and build out done. They dont have much in them so it should be open by fall.
