New Vet in Mechanicsville

Does anyone know anything about a new vet office in Mechanicsville? Companion Animal Care? I saw an ad in the employment section for techs and receptionists. Just wondering if anyone knew who the Dr. is and an opening date.

They are in the new office building next to the radio station (southbound 5 between DJ's Quick Stop and Mechanicsville Building Supply).

The Dr. is Melanie Donis (formerly Maccubbin). She used to work at St. Mary's Veterinary hospital in Lex.Pk., but recently opened her own practice!! I just took my new dog there... very nice experience. My dog was very comfortable there and all the staff was very nice to him (and me!).

Dr. Mac was at St. Mary's right out of Vet school. She was always thorough and the animals like her. When St. Mary's was bought by VBS She decided to go out on her own. But I didn't know she was going by Donis. I've always known her as Dr. Mac. She works with greyhound rescue groups-at least she did.

Yeah, she did a lot for greyhound groups when we worked together. I love greyhounds... i'd love to have one, but we're fresh out of room! St. Mary's was bought by VCA, not VBS.
