New way to make a purchase with your Credit Card

I have a simple question for anyone. My husband never accepted a Credit Card thru his business. However now he just downloaded a paypal app that now gives him the chance to accept CC from his clients. Now, my question to you is this. Are you leary of given someone your card to scan on their phone to make a purchase? You do get an email receipt of your purchase and the card number is not saved at all in the phone. its scanned and then erased automatically thru the app. I just hope this helps. He has turned down a lot of work cause he didn't accept any CC.. Thank you for your time.

I don't carry more than $20-$30 worth of cash and I consider that emergency funds. If I want to buy something I use the plastic.

Recently my son and I stopped at the "Master Bait Shop" in Orange VA and bought a couple of T-shirts for $18 each. If he hadn't had a phone scanner he would have lost the sale.

also CC companies are much happier if the card is 'scanned' at the time of transaction - cuts down on fraud

There have apparently been thefts on credit cards linked to the cell phone hand scanners. Not sure if it's the persons(s) scanning the card, or something that happens further up the line. It would be more of a problem for your husband's clients than him, but a stigma like that would be bad for business.

ItsBob recently had this issue at a local event.
