One of the few menu items not deep fried was Blackend Catfish. It arrived looking pan fried a light tan color. When I mentioned it to the waitress she said you have to request it spicy to get any seasoning on it. Silly me had been under the impression that's what "blackened" implied.

That's what "blackened" MEANS! I even have (somewhere) some Blackened seasoning. Nice of them to tell you about that in advance. Yup, I can understand not going back there again!

Same with their blackened scallops. I've had them prepared properly there before but last time I got them they were just as you described. We must've had the same incompetent chef.
