I want to be sure I understand:

Freakchick made false claims that Trump raped her in a BG dressing room.
Trump said she's lying.
Court found no evidence that her claims were true (aka "she was lying").
Jury finds that Trump defamed her by calling her what she is (a liar), and what a court declared her to be.

Of course this jury is made up of the same people who keep re-electing criminal sympathizers to office, then whining about the crime in their shithole city. Sooooooo......

Trump's lawyers should have insisted on a change of venue.

I was surprised when I started dating how many women told me that some family member or family friend tried to get in their pants.
Me too. I'd say about a fourth of all women I ever dated said as much - about themselves. I had no idea.

And THIS charge to me seems the most spurious. If innocent, it's a bullchit charge, because calling someone out for accusing you of RAPE deserves everything you can throw back at them.

I do not however, find it impossible to believe he COULD have done it. I think rich guys like him easily could have. I just don't get how he's found guilty with no evidence other than the testimony of a woman who cannot even remember what YEAR it occurred. I'm beginning to grasp from more and more people I've known that women are just reluctant to SAY anything - it IS humiliating. But bringing it up after 35 years seems more like opportunism. Her book wasn't gaining any traction.

I don't know which came first - but I assume that the lawsuit came after Trump responded to her accusation, in her book. THIS - to be fair - is why Paula Jones went after Clinton, because she was content to just say nothing until she was ridiculed on the national stage.

But Republicans have a difficult issue now - like Clinton voters had to decide whether or not to vote for a man shown to be a predator - this entire episode makes it hard to NOT see Trump as such. Either they're all making all this stuff up - or a man who's been seen over decades to trade up women when they get a little long in the tooth for a younger version - do we vote for the guy, even though privately he's a bit of a prick?

Go the NYC, stop in BG and have your wife check out the dressing rooms. It's impossible for him to have even gotten into the women's dressing room, let alone raped someone in there. Unlike Peebles, there's an actual full time attendant at all times, plus they have runners to get different sizes, colors, etc.

She should have said he raped her at Macy's or H&M - THAT would be more plausible, although still fairly impossible. Nobody is getting raped in the dressing rooms at BG, or Saks, or Neiman Marcus.

That said, I wonder how BG feels about their dressing rooms being publicly identified as "rape rooms"? You'd think this would be terrible PR for them and they'd step up and insist that their dressing rooms are secure and safe.

Sapidus will be along shortly asking how Christians could support a convicted rapist
This is probably - one of the more confusing aspects of Christianity - but the New Testament twice urges Christians to honor the emperor and to obey him (presumably, as long as he doesn't directly require them to sin - such as - worship him as a god). In 1 Peter - the emperor in question would have been NERO. How CAN you "honor" one of the most sadistic, insane emperors Rome ever had?

Because he's a secular leader. You don't question the morals of a cop when he tells you to pull over. When you break the law, you don't stiffen your back and think "the judge is corrupt - I don't need to listen to him/her". You honor them by doing your responsibility as a citizen and by following the laws.

That said - people also followed - Paul. A man who'd been a murderer and persecutor of Christians prior to his conversion.

PEOPLE aren't your gods. I vote for a man I believe will do a good job. Admittedly - character does play a part to me, because I do think poor character means he might make poor decisions. But I'm not going to hold my breath and wait for a blameless man to lead the nation.

Apparently, "Law and Order" had an episode where exactly THAT happened.

Judge wasn't going to dismiss it and the jury wouldn't have voted guilty if it was anyone other than Trump. He'll apeal, but with the election coming up might think about not going too long on this.

I don't have any problem at all i understanding how this woman won this suit. The rial was held with a picked jury from an anti-Trump city filled with criminal acts that they7 voted to allow to continue. I don't see a man with Tumps money and women---and he has had some really nice women and plenty of them--gettin so desperate he would follow this stranger into a dressing booth and molest her.
Republicans have no issue. The ones that know Trump know this whole thing is the highest order of Bullshit, and the ass wipes that wont vote for him still won't.
