Not sure why not, they thrive everywhere. Up until a few years ago what we have is the standard size Aldi store. About three years ago I noticed ones in New Jersey, South Carolina, and West Virginia expanding their stores. They had a wall knocked out and stayed open while construction was going on. The ones in West Virginia and South Carolina now have a fairly decent size beer and wine section, not sure what they are going to do with that space here.

I remember people on here saying they wouldn't last, ha.

They have been out here for decades, they used to sell loads of #2 cans of vegetables and other cheaper lines of foods. They started rebuilding or building bigger stores down the street from the older smaller stores around the same time here too. I go to the Kokomo new store maybe twice a month for fresh and the different snacks I ship my son.
I learned long ago if you see something at Aldis you have never seen before and like it, you better get your ass back and buy all you can because it very well could be a one time special purchase...

Now thats interesting... I havent seen any electronics that I can remember...
I really like the constantly changing snack isle and the different chocolates.
My son loves the hot pepper chocolate bars...
They have all sorts of non-food items. I bought a GoPro-look-alike camera there, they've had handicap walkers, changes all of the time.

They need to hurry before Lidl gets here!!

That Lidl store in Waldorf is really big compared the Aldi stores.
My wife loves the place she was at the Brandywine store on opening day and then at California's grand opening.

We were both in the Brandywine store back in its early days and there was a gentlemen in suite and tie that looked important that looked like a big wig. He said Hi to us and opened up a conversation with us, we told him how we liked the store and wished that maybe they could find in place in Charlotte Hall or Mechcanicsville for a location. Told him of a perfect spot for a store, where the supposedly McKays was going (this was after about 3yrs of no McKays being built) He told us he was headed to the California store that was about to have its grand opening and he would be sure to check-out the Charlotte Hall site and get some phone numbers off the sign that was posted about the property being for sale. Well if he did ever call about it he was probably shutout about any building of a Aldi because just about all the land in CH. was or is controlled by the Parlett's, Burches and Burrough's. Was told once by a franchise owner of a Chick-f-la who was really really interested in building a place in Charlotte Hall that they (the 3 above mentioned) wanted way to much for the land. Maybe with the new owners of most of the commercial land in CH things may change.

There's one across from Parole in annapolis.
I haven't been up that way in a while.
Map of local LIDLs. Zoomed in a bit, so Richmond and Balt/Annap stores don't show. There's one in St. Charles, close enough to warrant a look.

Not sure if this was addressed, but it looks like they are going to move the parking lot before they start on the store.

I've been into the Krispy Krunchy three times since they opened and they've never had the chicken that I wanted. Not to picky just a two piece white meat. Three times and after the first time I gave them about three weeks to get their s**t together but they still don't seem to understand how to run the business. I've been there when others have asked for refunds and I had to get a refund the first time there.

Maybe give them some time to get someone in who knows how to run a fried chicken joint. The chicken is excellent if they could get out of their own way.

yea, the staff explained to me they'd be swinging the parking lot over to where they're constructing now, and the store would expand into the left half of the current parking lot. So parking will be expanded too :yay:
