Wouldn't have mattered if he won a SB or not, there has been no QB that elevated a team like Elway did. The teams that lost superbowls probably wouldn't have even made the playoffs if not for Elway. I was never a fan of Elway but without him, Denver was an average team at best.

Statistically, and carrying Denver, he probably belonged. I just had a severe problem with his "don't draft me 'cause I won't play for you" announcement to the Colts. And once he got to be an "elder statesman", it was glossed over and you never heard of it again. That's just ONE of the problems I have with Eli and Archie pulling the same crap with the Chargers. Really paid off for you there didn't Eli? A$$hole.
