Stoney's in PF is closed up. The one in Solomon's isn't open yet. Only bet is Broomes Island.

I'm not sure. I bet they are just moving from PF to Solomon's. I have to go by there Tuesday so I'll see if there is a sign on the door!

The "Stoney's" on Solomons Island (Kingfishers) is open year-round.

That is not correct. The Solomons one "kingfishers" has been open and hasn't closed. The new Stoney's in Solomons is a bar and club not a resturant and opened Fri. night. It is the old Solomons peir, which they did an awesome job with by the way. The deck part which was opened for Tiki bar opening weekend only until last night and the inside which just opened is great.

As far as the PF one being closed that is the first I've heard of that, in fact I just drove by there Thur. and people were going in out the door so ..... if they are/were closed I doubt it is for good maybe just in preperation of the "Solomons Pier" opening last night.

We ate at Stoney's in PF Wednesday night. However, that night and the previous time we ate there, the food was not as good as it has been in the past. The crabcakes were over-cooked and so were the french fries. It might be some time before we try it again...

Stoney's Seafood is the BEST! We have never had bad food at any of the Stoney's restaurants. A couple of times we have had servers that weren't the greatest but that happens everywhere occasionally. I know the Stoney's in Prince Frederick and Broome's Island are open. I'm not sure why someone thought they were closed. We never go the the one in Solomon's so I can verify if that is open or closed but I can't imagine that it would be closed. But it seems every year someone starts rumors about one of the restaurants closing up. The steamed shrimp and crab cakes can't be beat at any other local restaurant.

Nothing to see here
Stoney's food is usually very good but I've always found the service staff very indifferent. Don't be surprised to get your meals piecemeal, ie..someones dinner coming out first, then yours 5 minutes later. Or, your appetizer/salad being delivered with your dinner. Also, if going to the Broomes Island Stoneys, remember that the kitchen is way too small to handle the volume of diners there, so be prepared to wait. Stoneys still has the best crabcake I've ever had.

Except for Mother's Day last year, never have gotten bad service or a bad meal at the Lighthouse in Solomons.
