Bought some from Nick's in PF this weekend.

Yesterday, boiled them for about 10 minutes, then put them on the grill to brown, sub roll, and mustard and cheese, and a cold beer or two. Mm Mm good, very tasty.

vrai, they do sell other sausages, that are not quite so hot, might help with the heartburn. The pepper and onion are good also.

Nick's sausages are the best.

Pepper and onion are my favorite but I need to check these new hots out.

Vince has a great recipe he might share...

Meat should never be boiled

somdfunguy, actually learned that technique from a customer at Nick's one day. I had discovered just putting them on the grill and cooking them all the juices from the sausages would cook out and they were still ok just dry. Talked to a lady in Nick's and she mentioned the boiling them first, and following her advice they come out perfect each time, just my experience. A better grill cooker may be able to cook them up better than me.

Tropical
There's a store here that has portabella, green pepper and onion sausage. These are delicious, but they don't have them often and I cross my fingers when I walk in the door hoping they do, then buy a bunch of packs and freeze them.

Just like "Maryland fried chicken"- steam it while cooking! Boil so the steam cooks it and brown on the grill (and keep some aloe TP handy).
