Bought some from Nick's in PF this weekend.

Yesterday, boiled them for about 10 minutes, then put them on the grill to brown, sub roll, and mustard and cheese, and a cold beer or two. Mm Mm good, very tasty.

Love Nicks! I am a Louisiana girl, born and bred! Also, every couple months they have a sale on NY strips for dirt cheap, and we stock up! Happy grilling!

All good Wisconsinites know that you simmer brats in beer and onions then grill them - then keep them warming in the oniony beery goodness until you're ready to eat them. Really good when you have a pan that you don't mind leaving on the grill. Best on a toasted bun.

Simmering in liquid is good way to precook any sort of sausage - never put them in a rolling boil. I've never tried steaming.....sounds way too fussy.

Love Nicks!

I met Nick a few years back. He's a great guy. He was very proud of what he built at the same time retaining his modesty. We need more business men like him today. He related to me how he went from store butcher to business owner. He did it the old fashioned way with hard work and providing quality products.

He didn't build that on his own.

Yum! Have you tried their Italian turkey sausage? Grilled, you can barely tell they're turkey.

I'm overdue for a trip to Nick's in Prince Fred. Have to bring home some of those Louisiana hots.
