No druggies on the track!

The part that makes no sense to me is, the '.....second sample from a drug test collected earlier this month.' If the test came back positive the first time from the same sample came back positive once; wouldn't all subsequent tests from the same sample come back positive?

Also, if A.J.; or ANY of them; tested positive for something illegal; meaning dope or a performance enhancer then a suspension would be in order.
Right?

Usually the second sample is sent to an alternate lab to ensure it is not sloppy sample handling or cross contamination.

The second sample is sent to the same lab, which is actually causing some discussion because the Mayfield situation created a lot of doubt. But they run a second test in the event of a false positive.

Dinger admitted to taking a pill that his friend gave him during a night out. If he is taking pills that are not prescribed then he deserved suspension and losing his ride. You would think that these guys would have learned from the Mayfield incident that NASCAR will not tolerate this stuff.
