Out of the 1 cats the Mrs. and I have had since adopting the Grey Sisters in FEB 1983, only 1 has been a mouser.
When we were stationed in Nebraska, a bird got down the chimney. 4 cats in the house, not one knew what to do with it.
I popped it with a pellet from an air rifle.

By that time it’s to cold for snakes to be out. I got rid of my wood stove and went with a pellet stove..5 years now and no regrets.

The one I'm using now I bought in '96.

My pellet stove crapped out after about 8 years. Would not stay lit and would not feed reliably. I finally gave it away after many hours fooling with it. It was designed to burn pellets or corn. God the corn stunk really bad !!! Never went back.
