Man. My 17 year old is suddenly a different child. And all over a boy. AND I LIKE HIM!
She even almost hit me last night. Actually drew back her fist.
I KNOW it is just typical teen "in love and thinks she knows it all" stuff. And I know I shouldn't take the just plain mean things she says to heart.
But man..it hurts.
I hold my ground and give her whats for and tell her how it's GOING to be....then I go in my room and cry my eyes out.
I want my sweet girl back.
She even almost hit me last night. Actually drew back her fist.

My girlfriend called me the other night to tell me her daughter, whom I've known since she was born, moved out after a fight. My poor girlfriend was just crushed. I know it is a phase and it will pass, but you hope there isn’t too much damage, especially when they move out with a guy you know is no good.

On a lighter note...
Chick and I were at Giant to buy potato salad this afternoon. While we were waiting our turn in line, she comments out loud how she thinks she sees a worm in one of the pasta salads.
I tell her not to say that out loud. She asks why. I tell her that if she does, I will have to tell everyone about the spiders that live in her hair. Her --->

Priceless. My job is done.

See, in my house, if I drew back (which I did 1 time, 1 time only) I learned real quick and in a hurry that that's a MAJOR 
you should DEFINITELY not let her get away with that.....
As for her being all over boy you like....you shoulda broke him in with the gun and knife cleaning the day her came over....and had daddy tell him "thats my little girl....anything you do to her, I WILL do to you"......
But it will get better, she will grow out of the stage...its like said before, around 20-21, we get smarter again.....I grew smarter at 18-19 when I had to move back home cuz I couldnt afford to live on my own at the time

I know it has to be hard. I know when I was in high school, my mom didn't know anything (to me anyways) and she just did things to spite me. I now have a great relationship with my mother and realized that she was right about things all along. I don't know where I would be without her. She really did know what she was talking about!
It will get better.
