I once had someone throw out my entire lunch and container - TWICE - on me. They'd only been in the communal fridge either overnight, or from that morning, I wasn't in the habit of forgetting it. The second time I went around asking and figured out who did it. She claimed it looked like it was old rotten food, but it was just normal leftover chicken and veggies - nothing weird, rotten, old, or even ugly about it. I was so furious. All she did was apologize nonchalantly. Didn't even offer to reimburse me, nothing... a woman 20+ years my senior. And it was well known in that office at the time, I was the youngest, the least paid, and the most broke. It was a day or 2 before pay day too, so all I could do was run to the Sheetz down the road and grab a bag of chips and cry a little in my car.
Obviously that moment affected me

I hate that! Sounds like she thought of herself as the fridge police. Old biddy.
I have no idea who took it. But it had to be after 3 because the cleaning goddess had already done her thing and changed out the trash cans. It was in a foil dish with a clear lid on it, so you could clearly see the food in it. They ate all the avocado and left behind a bit of salsa.
Check around by asking "Who ate my nephews biology experiment? It took five days to grow that bacteria culture in an avocado base."
Actually, I took it out of the trash and set it on the counter with the bag of chips with a note on it. Well, the rules now are no longer unwritten.
