I know, I know. It was pretty much a rhetorical question. Liberals move into decent places and bring their political beliefs with them and turn them into the shitholes they left behind. I'm just glad they don't procreate at the same rate that conservatives do. We've got more than enough of them in our country as it is now.
Something interesting is that the bill signed into law removed a lot of what was obviously objectionable. As of yet I see no mention of fines, but there are several versions so it might be in one of them.

Google keeps the searcher on there site .....
People search for information, but a lot of times what they really want is conversation and/or feedback. AI doesn't care about your cute granddaughter or what yummy thing you made for dinner. We haven't completely isolated ourselves yet.

Google has become a monster and is only getting more powerful. I'd say I'm surprised that Congress hasn't busted them up yet, but money talks louder than anti-trust laws so here we are.
