Non ethanol gas

I'm seeing a few more gas stations selling non-ethanol gasoline. It costs a few pennies more but I'm glad to pay the extra.

I run only non-ethanol in all small-engine stuff as well as all our boats. Save far more in repairs and aggravation than the cost per gallon difference...
Wawa at 4/235 appears to be the less costly. So far, I haven't seen anything cheaper. It will probably come done some more toward the late Fall and in to the Winter.

I haven't had any issue with my tractor and regular fuel with Stabil. The generators have been converted to propane.

We can get it here in either 90 or 93 octane.
You're out in like Iowa or someplace aren't you? If i remember the octane I got was 88. So a point above Regular Unleaded and a point or two below mid-grade Unleaded.

I don't remember what the octane of regular leaded was fifty years ago but somewhere around 90.

Regular used to run 89.

For the good stuff… At one point you could get 96 from the pump at Sunoco.

Remember Sunoco Blue?
Back when I was running this on the street, it hated less than the 104 octane I'd buy at Hess..

Ah, the days of having to take daily fuel samples on recip aircraft. 115/145 avgas was good stuff, 100/130 OK but 100 Low Lead, nah. Jet fuel samples went in the ground equipment diesels but the avgas had to go somewhere.... The waste fuel tank was further away than my truck in the parking lot.... Poured it in a 5 gallon container and ran the tractor, mower, and some other needy large displacement high compression straight line equipment. Does anybody know the statute of limitations on this?
