Not in St. Mary's!!

At approximately 0800 hours this morning, while three employees were arriving to open the Leonardtown branch of the Cedar Point Federal Credit Union, two unidentified suspects brandishing handguns entered the bank and demanded money. As the suspects entered with the three employees at gunpoint, a fourth employee arriving in the parking lot observed the robbery happening and called 911. Police units arrived within a very short period of time, but the suspects had already fled the bank with an unknown amount of money. No gunshots were fired and none of the bank employees were physically injured during the robbery. The investigation is continuing by members of the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations.

I heard so many variations of this while visiting my kids this past weekend.

OK I was told that it was an inside job that someone left the back door open. The 3 men came in from the back, waited for them to arrive to open the safe for the money. By the time the police arrived they were long gone off into the cornfields on 4 wheels. And I was told that from a police officer.

Because police officers, in general, shouldn't be revealing details of an ongoing investigation to someone who will immediately betray their confidence by posting them on a public forum? I guess I could be wrong on this one.

Ummm if he/she was not aloud to tell then they wouldn't have. But he/she did not say, “Oh don't tell anyone no one is aloud to know.” They want people to know so that they can help them find the 3 men. They want us to know they left on 4 wheels so that if someone saw 3 men on 4 wheelers that morning or after the time on the robbery to call and tell them.

They think in may have been an inside job, but if any one knows anything they want them to come forward with the info so they can catch them. What is so wrong with people knowing?

I could care less about what people think I am trying to do. every one else but on here what they were told so I wrote what I was told so what is the different?

I was told the same thing about the 4 wheelers and it may be a inside job who cares who told who. This whole thing is a gossip thread. So what some one told some one else what a cop told them. Get over it what can you do nothing. My b/f best friend is a cop and he told us about it. They are not trying to get it hush hush they just don't know every thing right now.
