I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you over this. Starvation is a slow cruel fate... Anything bad that might come to these kittens will be sad. They need foster homes so take them in and save them from a fox/car.

So she can make more? She needs to spay/neuter the cats and stop the cycle. If I adopt a kitten, she will think it is ok to contiue her careless pet ownership.

I don't believe these kittens were from her cats,, they were found. Yes, adopt one, that will be at least one saved from an unknown fate, beats just bashing people for helping out.

Are you smoking something? She is not helping anyone or anything. She should round up the cats, have them spayed and neutered and given their shots. You have a barn? You have cats? Well guess what? That takes money and being responsible. I would never adopt one of her kittens. I go through rescues and support people that are really helping.

No I'm not smoking anything, gave that up years ago... :jameo:
Unfortunately spaying and neutering does not always keep them from roaming. I lost two of my barn cats they were fixed as kittens due to our location near a road. Like I said the older ones seem to know better. You assume a lot of things in the negative about people when you don't know the whole story. To each their own..

Man, what are YOU smoking. I have a BARN and I have CATS along with other animals but the 'REALITY' is YOU SIMPLY CAN'T SAVE THEM ALL !
That is WHY she is trying to give them to someone who CAN! :smack:

So are you suggesting she take them to the animal shelter instead of trying to find them a home

you are obviously right, infact all cats should be rounded up and exterminated so that they don't have to live through such travesty.

I am suggesting she spay and neuter her pets.

All cats and dogs need to be spayed and neutered. Even if they don't belong to me if they visit me often enough, eat the food I put out, sleep on my porch or in my barns and there's no form of identification, they'll find themselves in a carrier on the way to the vet and coming out different boys and girls. Every "barn" cat I now own was a package left on my doorstep or found under a building. A quick trip to the vet and they became "my" barn cats. Oddly enough, I haven't found a new package in over 6 years. :flowers:

Actually Prep, they'd be better off humanely put down than left to fend for themselves, become ill or become a victim of another animal. These cats are just continually breeding (and inbreeding most likely) which is not healthy and can produce sickly kittens.

I suppose it's nice to think that by allowing the cats to reside in barns is a good idea but I think technically they are "your" cats and you have a responsibility to care for them. I don't disagree with "barn cats" but I don't think they should be allowed to breed at will and not have some medical attention.

I've given up on trying to convince people the multitude of cats they see laying about the place are not "barn cats" but I do consider them "my" cats. Most importantly of all, they are my spayed and neutered cats. :flowers:

Talk about mean red karma, get a load of this:

not so sweet kittens ne... 06-26-2007 02:10 PM well aren't you just a freaking "all about me" attention whoooore, please die soon so the rest of us can get over the loss, it will be so hard with out you

She should have let them starve. She did not save them from anything. They will be fox bait or road mush and pop out some more kittens to face the same fate. What part of cruel don't you understand?

um... Geek, sweetheart, that's not cruel, that's the natural order of the universe before man/woman decided to step in and "domesticate" cats. Animals eat animals everyday and cats are in-fact animals.

Ahh..don't worry about it. People are jerks and those of us that tirelessly devote ourselves to animals are anything but attention whores. I could care less what they say to me. I wake up loving my dogs and cats (and my new foster babies) and can't wait to get home to see them every night.

And to the karma giver who gives me the disgusting peanut butter karma, you're overdue..he's a target for you.

Wow that was quite nasty, I got called an attention skank in my red karma... Guess it was left by the same person. In the meantime, my "barn cats" are fixed and utd on their vaccinations. The kittens mentioned in this thread I'm sure aren't most likely even old enough at this point. This thread was to help find them homes.

You do not think people should spay and neuter their pets.

I don't want to get caught up in all the various opinions being discussed. I just want to say that low-fee spays and neuters are available by contacting some of the local rescue groups and hospitals. Financial assistance can be made available to low income pet owners too.
