My favorite - my raspberry dark chocolate / white chocolate chip cookies.

My second favorite - peanut butter cookies with a miniature Snicker's candy bar melted inside.

My third favorite - anisette cookies that are more like homemade biscotti.

I love the mini pretzels with a Hershey's Kiss melted on the top. Does that count as a cookie?

I had something recently that was awesome. Someone took those little pretzel thingies that are shaped like a little 1 x 1 grid and then took a Rolo candy piece and placed the chocolate on top of the pretzel piece and stuck it in a 350 degree oven until the chocolate melts *just a little* so that it becomes "one" with the pretzel. Salty, chocolaty, caramel in one quick bite. It was freakin' awesome! :yum:

If pumpkin cookies with cream cheese frosting sound good you should try pupmkin cheesecake. OMG, yum, yum

I wanted to try these for my Christmas Cookie Trays that we give as gifts, but I could not find...regular macademia nuts (only chocolate covered), white chocolate that could be "chunked" or the candies cherries :jameo:

I love Snicker Doodles, they were the first cookie I ever learned to bake. I also love sugar or gingerbread cookies because I still use the cookie cutters my grandmother used with me as a child. :cheesy:

You can find regular macadamia nuts in Giant in the snacks aisle (with the potato chips and salted peanuts). Mauna Loa sells them - clear glass jar with blue label.

If you can't find the white chocolate baking bars (and I haven't found them either), buy a bag of the white chocolate chips and melt them down. Then cool and break them apart for chunks.

Not sure about the candy cherries, though. Could you use red hots instead?

I've never had any difficulty in finding candied cherries at the grocery store. They are predominately a seasonal items (found during the Christmas season), but I think that I've seen them at all times of the year in the baking aisle. They should be in a short clear plastic container near the candied pineapple (yum) and candied citron (yuck).

:nono: I wouldn't use Red Hots; they are an entirely different animal.

I found it strange the recipe on her site called for candied cherries. When watching her make this batter, they looked like the cherries you buy in the jar with the juice. They appeared to have been drained and chopped.

You're absolutely right. I was thinking of something totally different. Red hots would have a completely different taste than candied cherries.

My bad!

I guess in a pinch you could use the jarred marichino cherries, although the texture isn't an equal match - the jarred version is a little softer to the bite since they've been packaged in liquid. But close enough nonetheless. :yay:

I got the recipe from my mother for the pumpkin cookies. If you want a copy PM me. I don't want to take up too much room on the thread.

I want one of those long type dressers... you know... the one's that people sometimes hook a mirror to... but I don't want the mirror... just the long dresser. I'll bake you more cookies if you give me one.

A sideboard or a chest of drawers? PM me , I have 2 I'm not using, one with mirror frame.

:yay: Those are so good. I'm glad I only took a couple from your company's party because I wouldn't have been able to stop eating them otherwise.

Speaking of butterscotch, I still love the haystack cookies: chow mein noodles and melted butterscotch chips mixed together, then dropped to form "haystacks."

Personal favorites? Classic Chocolate Chip with Walnuts, Scandanavian Almond Bars, Chocolate Macademia Nut, Oatmeal Raisin, and Peanut Butter.
