Directly from Obama's website:
....That's why I'm running, Democrats — to keep the American Dream alive for those who still hunger for opportunity, who still thirst for equality.
He wants equality of outcome, not equality of opportunity.

Make Work Pay for All Americans
- Expand the Earned Income Tax Credit: Obama will increase the number of working parents eligible for EITC benefits, increase the benefits available to parents who support their children through child support payments, increase benefits for families with three or more children, and reduce the EITC marriage penalty, which hurts low-income families.
So the government loses revenue by increasing the number of folks (note, not necessarily married) who receive a tax break, pays out more in benefits, and gives another break for those who are married. Less revenue in, more spending by government.
Who is going to pay for this?
- Create a Living Wage: Obama will raise the minimum wage and index it to inflation to make sure that full-time workers can earn a living wage that allows them to raise their families and pay for basic needs such as food, transportation, and housing.
Raising the minimum wage has a direct effect on unemployment. Unemployment rose to its highest level in quite a while last month, right after the first round of socialist passed higher minimum wage increase. Nobody can pay for food, transportation and housing on minimum wage. But those workers aren't paying for such expenses as they are not in that labor pool or those that have those expenses have gained experience to move on to better paying employment.
- Provide Tax Relief: Obama will provide all low and middle-income workers a $500 Making Work Pay tax credit to offset the payroll tax those workers pay in every paycheck. Obama will also eliminate taxes for seniors making under $50,000 per year.
$500 giveaway and less taxes for seniors. Again another lost revenue stream for the government.
Who is going to make up the difference?
Socialists realize tax policy is not about raising revenue, it's about control of the everyday lives of Americans. Since the socialist belief in class warfare, it's basically broken into two classes, the haves and the have-nots. I want to see a dollar figure on the class Obama classifies as
rich.
